Steven Woodruff is a glass artist from Southern Ontario. He uses glass as an engaging medium in blowing, hot casting, kiln work and cold forming; bringing together technical processes, artistic expression, conceptual thought and primarily craftsmanship into his processes. Steven focuses on clarity of form, line, composition, aesthetics and colour to create intricate glass objects relating to inspiration taken from art history, design, the natural world and the tradition of making.

Professional Activities
·      The Red Barns (Picton, Ontario) Resident Glass Artist June-September 2009-10
Responsibilities included demonstrating glass blowing and narrating to visitors, assisting, blow-slot scheduling, teaching private hot glass and flame-working classes and assumed role of the studio technician with building and maintaining equipment.


·      Harbour Front Center (Toronto) Summer Resident 2008
Was responsible for holding blowing demonstrations for public viewing, assisting, helping with blow-slot scheduling, light maintenance and rebuilding of equipment. (Pot change and glory hole repairs.)
